Org/memphis/ for more information. the home's energy use has been minimized through the use of cfl & led lighting & motion sensors, energy star appliances, an energy star indoor air package, a high efficiency mechanical unit, an hvac unit outside of the building envelope, materials laid to reduce air-leakage & low-e glazing in windows. the home's water usage is minimized through the use of a greywater recovery system, high efficiencey dual-flush toilets, high efficiency lavatory faucets, rainwater harvesting & a redistribution system which minimizes irrigation. during the construction, the designers paid attention to the use of land resources by implementing smart tree planting to provide shading, permeable paving materials were used, pests were controlled through non-toxic procedures & drought-tolerant landscaping was used. continuing to the use of building resources, this home was built using "smart" framing in the garage, insulated concrete forms, high-performance perimeter walls & roof, fly-ash in concrete with cellulose-fiber reinforcing, soy-based spray foam insulation, engineered lumber & cool metal roofing. The durable and ecological products were from locally originating building materials, all with the intention to reduce job-site waste. even the indoor air quality was taken into consideration. The home features permanent walk-off mate, low voc paints, sealants & adhesives, formaldehyde-free materials and even an air scrubbing system. located at the end of the trolly line and within walking distance of amenities, you will thoroughly enjoy the convenience and asthetic feel of this area.
