News Release: CLRSearch.com Encouraged by December Unemployment Numbers

New Unemployment Data Suggests Good News for Homebuyers says CLRSearch

Palm Coast, FL—Statistics released in December 2011 from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicate that with the addition of 200,000 nonfarm jobs, the unemployment rate fell to 8.5%. This is down from the 9.1% unemployment rate in August. CLRSearch, a real estate search engine, suggests that this new information could translate into an increased demand in the real estate market from home buyers.

The largest gains in employment were made in transportation, retail trade, manufacturing, health care and mining. CLRSearch points out that this can mean that hubs of these industries, like the Midwest will likely see an increase in potential real estate sale opportunities. They project that these new numbers are just the beginning of the trend.

Other areas of encouragement from the numbers are in the states that saw the largest rate of decline in unemployment. Those states were Alabama, Michigan, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah and Ohio.

“As a real estate search engine, we want to inform our users of the potential this will have on the real estate market,” said John Verdi, President of CLR Choice, Inc. “With added jobs come a restoration of the dream of homeownership.”

The information comes just as the National Associate of Realtors reports that after reaching a 19-month high, pending home sales eased in December but stayed above year-ago levels.

“We are thrilled by this news. With the release of these new numbers, we strongly believe that people looking to sell will see increased opportunity in the next 12 months,” added Verdi.
