CLRSearch Puts Listing Integrity Above Financial Gain to Provide Reliable Real Estate Information

Palm Coast, FL April 24, 2012 – CLRSearch has always been a trusted source when it comes to providing buyers accurate listing information, and now even more so with the recent heat other real estate aggregator websites are under.

For years, real estate agents have shared data about homes they have for sale on national real estate aggregator websites. But even though the popularity of these websites has grown, real estate agents are blaming lower sales on syndicated sites including Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com for giving inaccurate information according to a recent MSN Money article. In the mission of bringing homebuyers accurate information, CLRSearch earns its credibility putting the interest of consumers over the interest of commercial gain.

“The financial motivations are clear. Most of these companies have invested heavily with an eye toward the future payoff of a successful IPO. Most business models that alienate their customers are doomed to fail,” says John Verdi, president of CLR Choice. “We rely on syndication and as a publisher we need to be cognizant of the ramifications of putting our financial goals above those of the market we serve.”

The article claims that websites such as Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com allow real estate agents to pay to have their picture posted on any listed home in any given region, even if the agent knows very little about the property or area. In addition to questionable source contacts, the article goes on to discuss other issues such as wrong pictures, sold houses that still show as active on the market and incorrect prices and broker information.

CLRSearch.com’s easy to navigate site features accessible listing information prominently under the picture of the house. Homebuyers are then led directly to the source website to view all the complete details about a property and contact information of the broker or listing agent.

“Publishers need to remember where the listings originate,” says Verdi. “CLRSearch started out with a simple premise, provide consumers with access to as many listings as possible and don’t lose sight of whose listings they were in the first place. We’ve worked hard to create an efficient portal to our contributing broker’s listings and have quietly watched as larger sites continued to obscure access to the listings origin.”

While misinformation may hurt many of the real estate sites’ reputations, homebuyers know they can always depend on CLRSearch as an accurate, reliable source.
